Posthuman Tantra – ‘Necotex Plug-in’ CD (Legatus Records)

‘Necotex Plug-in’ as it’s title screams is a very sci-fi and occult based concept album, mainly played out with a collection of sinister sounding banks of synth, with clunking electro industrial brushed rhythms to ritualistic work-outs, with the odd touches of cyber fired guitar chug and odd brushers of noise matter. Over the top of this we have Posthuman Tantra creator ranting, raving and sinisterly whisper cryptic & creepy sci-fi occultic texts.

I guess musically its best described as a demented mix of horror/ sci-fi soundtracking, synth prog music, industrial, electrionca & noise. And I’ll have to say I enjoyed every puzzling and strange moment of it, hell we even have one of the best comprehensible and sinister vocal performers from Cyber punk cut-up writer and sound artist Kenji Siratori ever.

As well as a very puzzling PC animation track and an booklet that tries to explain the albums concept. Yes it’s Pretentious, overblown and a little silly but it one hell of an enjoyable & puzzling brain fry.
